Job Summary

Kynetec is a global leader in market research for animal health and agriculture. We conduct research in more than 80 countries with a Global team of more than 650 research professionals working out of more than 18 countries. Because Kynetec is a growing company, we are looking for an Assistant Payroll Advisor to assist in the day to day processing of payroll and recruitment worldwide to join our dynamic HR team.

Purpose of the Role

The Assistant Payroll Advisor will assist the Payroll Manager in processing payroll and addressing payroll issues in all countries we operate out of as well as assist in the recruitment process for open positions and new hires. This position is based at the Kynetec offices in Weston, Newbury in the UK and is a full-time role Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Key Activities

Payroll Cycles

  • Providing the data to the provider to ensure the payroll is paid according to the published calendar. 
  • Checking Celergo payroll sheets are accurate and obtaining approvals prior to processing for funding to be released. 

 Starters, Leavers and Changes

  • Ensuring all changes, new starters and amendments are processed via the Celergo portal in time to be completed accurately. This would range from statutory changes to employee reported changes of personal details. 


  • With the help of the Global Payroll Manager process the benefits changes for each particular pay run.

Employee Relationships

  • Acting as a liaison point for employees with payroll queries, investigating and ensuring corrections are made as required and the employees are updated to the action taken. 

Bonus and Salary Increases: 

  • on a yearly basis, assist in preparing the spreadsheets for bonus and salary increases for all countries. Uplift all Bonus and Salary increases into the payroll system working within the HR/Payroll calendars. 

Yearly Reporting and Auditing:

  • Assist with the collation of information for all global reporting both internally and externally and help prepare records for the annual audit. 

General Administration:

  • Responsible for administration and gathering documentation required for the payroll function. This includes starters, leavers and changes whilst in employment.

The ideal candidate will have Advanced Excel skills and has used Payroll software before. Ideally have some UK payroll experience but most importantly should have a love of payroll and have the desire to learn how to process International payrolls.

You will be a team player that is service orientated towards providing an excellent service and helps to resolve any pay issues or queries promptly. Confidentiality and Integrity are a must and you must have good planning and organizational skills. A lively, bubbly and fun individual is what we are looking for to join our HR team, with the personality to be able integrate with all of our Global offices. 

Countries that we currently have payrolls in are Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, USA and of course the UK.
