Purpose of the Role

  • Consults a portfolio of clients regarding their questions

  • Manages multiple projects from proposal stage to final delivery, creating impactful reports

  • Is responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and in accordance to quality standards

  • Presents at the client jointly with colleagues from Industry using ThinkStoryLine methods

  • May be responsible for the management of one or two junior researchers

Key Activities

Managerial Responsibility:

  • (Potentially) management of a very small team (1-2 individuals): including staff management, resource allocation, project oversight, performance management, developing, training

Research Design & Proposal Development:

  • Proposal development and pricing of market research projects 
  • Responsible for development of research and analysis designs, ability to identify need for alternative / advanced approaches and mechanisms
  • Defines the value pricing of a client solution, evaluate project costs and creates cost and pricing sheets, using available tools

Project Execution:

  • Delivers the projects with high quality while keeping the costs under control; Informs Key Account Manager, on status and issues
  • Full responsibility for project management, particularly for more complex ones, including full responsibility of research documents (which design may or may not be delegated to more junior staff)
  • Manages project team, monitors study performance in terms of schedule, quality, costs
  • Escalating partner / helps in conflict situations
  • Qual:
    • Able to deal with difficult participants and awkward group dynamics
    • Elicits people's deepest beliefs, feelings and assumptions

Analysis & Reporting:

  • Writes or reviews client research reports, creates impactful reports, including development of meaningful insightful final deliverables that answer key client business issues, using ThinkStoryLine methods, writes headlines/executive summary
  • Directs and trains others in creating meaningful presentations
  • Regularly presents results to the mid-level (and occasionally top) management at clients
  • Gives sales presentations

Client Management:

  • Communicates regularly with mid-level and top-clients on a day to day deliverables and project level need basis
  • Supports cross-selling in alignment with other Kynetec teams

Technical Skills Required

  • Expert knowledge of Kynetec, advanced knowledge of Custom Research portfolio

  • Expert project management skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Advanced in MS Office

  • Expert analytical skills

  • Expert presentation and communication skills

  • Managerial skills

Typical Education and Work Experience Required

  • Typically 8+ years of work experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree

  • Advanced or expert knowledge of Agriculture or Animal Health

  • Demonstrates wide range through typically experiencing both AH and Ag, as well as a variety of research methodologies
