To provide additional client support for our existing portfolio of market trackers and to develop and deliver our innovative pipeline of products to the crop protection and animal health markets, we are pleased to announce the appointment of two additional members to our Kynetec team in Japan. Toshiyuki Matsui, who has more than 20 years of experience in the crop protection market, leads the team as Director of Real Time Trackers, with Miho Sugimori, Manager of Real Time Trackers, reporting to Matsui san.
After graduating with a degree in agriculture from Chiba University, Matsui san began his career as a research plant pathologist for Bayer (UK), followed by a number of marketing and business development roles in the agrochemical and pharmaceutical sectors within Japan. His experience includes the position of country manager for the local subsidiary of an international crop protection business as well as leading positions in sales, distribution and marketing. Immediately prior to joining Kynetec, Matsui san managed distributor sales for Sumitomo Chemical.
Matsui san brings to Kynetec a wealth of understanding about the pressures and opportunities within Japan’s valuable crop protection market. He will help ensure our clients in the country benefit from timely studies that are both relevant and innovative.
Sugimori san holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree in Agriculture from Tokyo University. She has enjoyed substantial success in the pharmaceutical industry with roles as varied as licensing, building research alliances, business development and marketing. Sugimori san began her career as a researcher in molecular biology for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and has also worked for Toyo Bio-pharma, Summit Pharmaceuticals and Chiome Bioscience Inc.
Her valuable experience in business development and account management will help the Kynetec team in Tokyo to develop stronger relationships and deliver enhanced service and support for our clients.
